The local access number you're using to get online is going out of service. To avoid any interruption of your PeoplePC® Online service, you will need to update your local access number as soon as possible.

First click here to find another local number in your area. Write this number down.
If you have a Windows® XP connection:
1) Click the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of your computer screen.
2) Place the mouse cursor over "Connect To."
3) Click on "Show All Connections."
4) Double-click on the dial-up connection you normally use to go online. This will open the dialing window.
5) Change the phone number shown at the bottom of the window to the number you found here. Double-check the number after you update it to make sure you have included all the digits that you need in order to dial.
6) Click "Dial."
7) A dialogue box will appear and ask you if you want to make the phone number change permanent. Click "Yes."
If you have a Windows® 98/ME connection:
1) Click the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of your computer screen.
2 (a) If you have a WIN 98 connection, click "Open My Computer," then choose "Dial-Up Networking."
   (b) If you have an ME connection, click "Settings," then choose "Dial-Up Networking."
3) Right-click on the dial-up connection you normally use to go online.
4) Click "Properties."
5) Change the phone number shown here to the number you found here. Double-check the number after you update it to make sure you have included all the digits that you need in order to dial.
6) Click "OK" at the bottom.
